The Ward Family of Beaver County
Harvest Time, Beaver County, 1914 John Martin & Drucilla (Lee) Ward John Martin Ward came to Texas from Alabama with his father Judge Mathias Ward in 1853. John served his country by fighting on the confederate side in the civil war. John met and married Drucilla Lee in 1871. Drucilla lived in Texas at this time. They had 14 children in their marriage, five preceeded them in death. In 1904 John and Drucilla Ward moved to Beaver County Oklahoma where they homesteaded a farm. In 1921 they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary of 50 years. They lived in Beaver County until 1928 when they moved to Hobart, Oklahoma in Kiowa county where they both lived until there death. Both are buried at Hobart Rose Cemetery. Children of John Martin & Drucilla(Lee) Ward : Aby Mattics Ward, Edna Beatrice Ward, Wylie Martin Wad, Luther Ward, Albert Levy Ward, Matty Pearl Ward, Rosa Jane Ward (Zinn) my grandmother and she was born in Beaver County Oklahoma, Homer Ross Ward, Charley Monroe Ward, William Edward Ward, John Clyde Ward, Dennie Drucilla Ward, Arlie Elene Ward.
Wylie Potts Zinn married to Rosa Jane Ward in 1904 and moved to Beaver County Oklahoma and filed on a claim there where they lived until 1915 when they moved to Hobart, Oklahoma and they lived there until their death. Both are buried at Hobart Rose Cemetery. Children of Wylie Potts & Rosa Jane (Ward) Zinn: Louis Monroe Zinn, born and died and is buried in Beaver County, Oklahoma, Nellie Juanita Zinn (McConnell), born in Beaver County, Velva Ruth Zinn (Gandy), born in Beaver County, Albert Martin Zinn, Wylie Leroy Zinn, Van Alvis Zinn, John Clyde Zinn, Douglas Paul Zinn, Domby Lloyd Zinn.
