Martson James Ludlow, Sr.

Born October 30, 1932 Ludlow, Oklahoma to Elis E Ludlow Sr., and Roda (Harrison). He was known as “Big Boy” amongst his family members. James retired from Talihina Charcoal and Con Agra. He was a Lay speaker in the United Methodist church and a member of Grace Indian United Methodist Church of Hartshorne, Oklahoma. James was passionate about preaching, and spreading the gospel of Christ to everyone. He also loved to go fishing, garden and pick black berries in season. James passed on the morning of June 26, 2008 in McAlester, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years.

He is survived by his wife Rosie Ludlow, sons Martson James Ludlow, Jr. Boyd Ludlow and Daughter Betty Ruth Ludlow. Stepdaughters Hiahwahna Grass, Judy Jacoby, Gwendolyn Parish, and Undine Joyce. Two Sisters Pearline Carnes and Marilyn Tom and a Brother Sham Ludlow. 25 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his father and mother Elis E Ludlow Sr., Roda (Harrison) Ludlow. Son Ronald Dale Ludlow. Brothers Benjamin, Ray D, Willie, Ellis E Ludlow Jr., Joshua, and an infant brother Jacob. One Sister Ruth Pilkinton. Services were held June 30, 2008 at the Grace Indian United Methodist Church in Hartshorne, Oklahoma. Clergypersons were Rev. David Wilson, Rev. Roger Scott, and Rev. Bill Foote. Interment was at Mountain Station Cemetery Latimer County Oklahoma.
