Services For Austin Thursday

Felker W. Austin, 82, Valliant, died Monday, at his home.

Born Dec 9, 1900 near Fowlersville [IT], (now Valliant), he resided all of his life in McCurtain County. He was retired sawmill worker and lay minister in the Methodist church.

Survivors include his wife, Stella Austin of the home; three sons, Ervin Austin of Valliant, Warren and Denny Austin, both of Broken Boy; one foster-son Billy Joe Baken, of Broken Bow; one daughter Bertha Jane Wilson, of San Francisco, Cal; 11 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday in the White Sands Inidian Methodist Church, with the Rev. Farrell Harris, assisted by the Rev. Sampson Parish, officiating.

Arrangements and burial in the Baken Cemetery are under the direction of Coffey-Leonard Funeral Home of Idabel.
